In October 2017, a group of students studying the MSc Agri-Food Technology programme at the University of Lincoln, visited Branston, Lincolnshire.

Established in 1968 by a collaborative group of farmers in Branston, Lincolnshire, the company are a hugely successful producer and processor of potatoes. Their volume grew from 15,000 tonnes a year in 1983 and had reached 38,000 tonnes by 1995.

Students were given the opportunity to see the potato fields on site, which they then harvested using a potato harvester (pictured).  They were also given a tour of the facilities and learnt about the history of Branston and its community.
