The University of Lincoln, UK, has appeared in the QS World Subject rankings for the first time.

The success recognises the University of Lincoln for their teaching and research relating to agriculture and forestry, placing it in the top 200 institutions in the world. The rankings consider institutions across 78 countries in 48 single-subject areas, based on a combination of teaching and research indicators.

Last month it was announced the University of Lincoln will launch the world’s first Centre for Doctoral Training in Agri-Food Robotics in collaboration with the University of Cambridge and the University of East Anglia. The centre will create the largest ever cohort of Robotics and Autonomous Systems specialists for the global food and farming sectors thanks to a multi-million-pound funding award.

The new ranking follows a record year for the University of Lincoln, having placed 22nd in the Guardian University Guide 2019 and 7th in the National Student Survey for overall student satisfaction.

Applications are now open for PhD studentships at the Centre for Doctoral Training starting September 2019. Apply via: http://apply.agriforwards-cdt.uk.
